As High Priest of the Parsis of Karachi, Pakistan for over 45 years Dastur Dhalla was a scholar and teacher of rare brilliance, who stood unruffled through many communal controversies.

"Bapa was a person to whom birds, animals and children came on their own. It was as if they felt and knew that he was someone special who would be a friend to them," recalls Pouruchisti Bharucha about her grandfather.
