Known to her American and European fans simply as Melanie, Melanie Schekeryk has enjoyed a career as a rock, pop, and folk singer-songwriter for over 30 years. Born in 1947 in New York, she gave her first performance on a radio broadcast at age four.
After high school graduation, Melanie went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, while performing at night at clubs and coffeehouses.
