          Abstract

          The media, in their role as agents of socialization, act as channels promoting a patriarchal culture.

          Day after day, the press delivers agressive messages towards women in a world where journalists lack in adequate training that would allow them to deliver their messages through a more egalitarian vision.

          It is essential to analyze the biased way in which Women’s image is portrayed through our press and other media in order to be able to spot wrong journalistic habits and therefore be able to establish new communication models.

          Two great examples that will help us to thoroughly study the vio
