Franklin Tate Ammons was born on February 4, 1977, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Richard and Brenda Ammons. After his father retired from the Navy, the family moved back to Franklin, Tennessee, near generational roots.

Just like his two older brothers, sports was a major part of his youth. He received a scholarship to play soccer at Western Kentucky University. He also attended East Tennessee State University where he joined Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and graduated with a finance degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
He worked part-time at the local cinema during college.
Ripping tickets, making popcorn, and watching countless films derailed his future as a financial advisor.
Eric was born around Chicago in From there he went to The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where he suffered through his awkward teenage years.After working as Mark Ruffalo's photo double on The Last Castle and two years of acting classes, he moved to Los Angeles. His first role was on Days of Our Lives. He then transitioned to more edgier roles: a criminal on Justified, an addict on Ray Donovan, an outlaw on Shadow On The Mesa.
