John Charles McDermott (born 25 March 1955) is a Scottish-Canadian tenor.
McDermott's recording career wasn't a typical start.
With Irish roots on both sides of his family, he is descended from the Irish clan McDermott on his father Peter McDermott's side, with his father having immigrated to Scotland from Ireland.[1][2][3] John McDermott is best known for his rendering of the songs "Danny Boy" and "Loch Lomond".
