Ernestine Morris Carmichael Raclin, 95, died Thursday, July 13.

Known as "Ernie" by her friends and colleagues and BeBe by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was a lady of grace, style, intelligence, compassion and caring. Ernie was full of energy and fun and committed much of her life to making her home community a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Ernie's legacy is wide and deep both in leadership and in philanthropy from arts, culture and social services to economic development and education.
She tirelessly gave herself in volunteer leadership and business commitment. She believed she was blessed and she wanted to make everything she touched better.
The younger daughter of Ernest and Ella Morris she was born in South Bend on October 25, 1927.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest (1951) and Ella Morris (1968), her sister Mary Lou Oare Leighton, her husband and the father of her children
